It’s been a full year plus change since City Hall appointed Fiona Crean as its first ombudsman, topping up three pre-existing oversight positions auditor general, integrity commissioner and lobbyist registrar.
Crean is responsible for investigating and resolving public complaints on how Toronto’s services and programs are delivered.
She is meeting the public Wednesday at Scadding Court Community Centre, 707 Dundas Street West (at Bathurst).
The event is an opportunity to learn about the Ombudman’s Office and to help set priorities.
This community forum is hosted by Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina Councillor Adam Vaughan.
It’s happening between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday November 25, 2009 and of course it’s Free.

Hello Fiona Crean-
Are you the Ombudsman for social housing? Do you deal with any area of concern in this sector?
I have a complaint and wish to be heard and helped.. I have contacted the Mayors office in Mississauga – where the problem has taken place, only to be told that her office does not deal with Social Housing issues..
Can you please help me find someone who does.. i wish to tell them about my situation and get a result..
Thank you
deanne
